I once met someone who looked out of different eyes,
Who never spoke or heard a word in his entire life,
Who instead spoke in images, taste, smell and sound
Like coloring thoughtscapes of different places,
Like tasting the song of a different time.
I once met a woman who could fly, defying Time,
Who knew the heart of all those she looked upon,
Whose heart was brimming over with laughter and light,
Who knew every song one could sing of life.
I witnessed the struggling of a shattered remnant
Of a once great people to hold on and survive.
Flying on great birds whose wings defied Time,
Living in caverns of living crystalline light.
I once found a place beyond any known sun,
Where they all find music in harmonies in silence,
Where discords have risen and melodies have fallen
And worlds turned to ash in the blink of an eye.
Etched on my mind for all of forever,
The eyes of she who knows every life,
Etched in my heart from now unto never,
She songs of silence I strove to remember,
This is the place, the day and the time
To turn back the decadence and discord of our kind,
This is the way she sang it to my mind,
We seek answers for questions that none could find,
Defining and erasing dark chalked lines
In the barriers between your mind and mine ...
I once met a woman who taught me to listen
Rather than cover all words with the sound of my voice.
I once met a people who taught me the speech
Of connections and understanding, of beginnings, of now,
Of eternity, life, and the sounds of pure song ...

This writing is absolutely Stunning

Captures thot in a way compelling to think beyond
the bounds of where so many are..

There are lines and words that STAND OUT:

**thoughtscapes

**Defining and erasing dark chalked lines
In the barriers between your mind and mine ...

Awwww. Thank you.
I'm sure others have come up with it, but I was writing about a telepathic race who sent "thoughtscapes" back and forth. They didn't think in words but communicated in emotion, sound, and abstract forms of colors, lines and angles. Since then it's been a recurring theme in my poetry, communication by thoughtsacpe. I've recently been toying with the idea of a race communicating with a sense comparable to taste as well, but that idea is still forming.

This poem contains some nice alliteration, an interesting rhythm and thought-provoking concepts.
